Well, today is the day! My DHS inspection is today, and my home daycare should be open in a week. I’m looking forward to it, and I’m also very nervous. The interviews with parents make me very nervous. I love watching kids, and teaching them, and having them here to play with my two kiddos! I am looking forward to meeting my DHS child care agent.
The safety locks are installed, the doorknobs are covered, the fire extinguisher is under the sink, I’ve gathered all the marbles, we have 3 cots, I keep running through the checklist in my head. Which made me realize that while I’m checking off the safety items, I need to pray for all of the families that come here to be blessed.
That God will give me the right words, that He’ll give me compassion, that He’ll help me grow in patience.
Child care is truly a ministry in my opinion, and I need to direct my focus toward the Lord, and question myself every day to make sure I am speaking positive words into these lives. I want to be a witness to how great our God is, I want to be a blessing, I want to give the best of me to each of these families!
