Drowning Sandy by Sarah Daley

Drowning Sandy: A Prequel (Salmon River Romance)

I was given the chance to read Drowning Sandy by Sarah Daley. I really enjoyed this fantasy novella. I’ll be honest, I don’t read a lot of fantasy, but this story captured my attention and held it. I finished it in less than 24 hours.

Drowning Sandy is a curious and delightful tale of a half mermaid/half human young lady who is faced with a realization she didn’t want. Her two worlds are deeply divided and there are some that want to restrict her access to one world or the other. After showing up where she was wasn’t supposed to be, she is forced to make a choice between the future plans she had for herself, or an upheaval full of more uncertainty than anything.

Her heart can’t help but complicate things as fresh feelings crop up for an old friend…an old friend that is already in love with her twin sister. Join Sandy on her journey to self discovery as she faces some big choices in her young life.

I look forward to Sarah’s next book and definitely recommend this book to readers looking for an enjoyable read that will take them into a new world.

Overall, I give Drowning Sandy 5 Lucky Shoes!
