Reflect and Resolve with Ruth O’Neil

I learned that even in lock down, I am super busy. In fact, it seemed to get busier. I thought I would have lots of time for writing, but it didn’t work out that way. I learned that I need to just put my butt in a seat and write. There are always going to be distractions. Writing is my calling, my job. If I don’t make the effort, nothing will get done. Sitting down and setting timers really works for me.

I actually did sit down and plan out some things for next year. I plan on finishing the next book in my devotional companion series based on classic literature, I want to finish a journal, a cookbook that goes along with my book “Come Eat at My Table”, and finish my WIP “With Every Breath.” It looks like a full year, but if I just sit down and write, I will be able to accomplish all that and maybe even more!

Ruth O’Neil has been writing for over 20 years. She has published hundreds of articles
in numerous publications. She loves to touch the emotions when she writes. “If I can make one person laugh or cry, I’ll consider myself successful.” She is a veteran homeschooling mom of 20 years. She and her husband have been married for 20-plus years. In her spare time she enjoys quilting, crafting, and reading.

  1. Ruth-you will continue to find a way, with Him leading you. You are a beautiful person and know what priorities are really important for the day at hand. Praying for much guidance in accomplishing your goals and tasks at hand.
