Day One

I’m doing a 30 day blog challenge. It’s pretty simple and straight forward, just questions for me to answer. I thought this would be a great jump start back in to my writing. I need keyboard therapy these days.

So, the topic today: Weird things I do when I’m alone…

Turn the TV off. Okay, maybe that isn’t too weird, but my husband thinks it is.

The thing I laugh at myself most for is that I “sneak” sweet treats because no one is looking.

Depending on how long I know I’m going to have by myself, I might try to squeeze in a nap.

I guess, suffice it to say, I’m pretty boring when I’m alone. I might also have so little alone time that it’s hard to pick up any weird habits…

What weird thing do you do when you are alone?

Drowning Sandy by Sarah Daley

Drowning Sandy: A Prequel (Salmon River Romance)

I was given the chance to read Drowning Sandy by Sarah Daley. I really enjoyed this fantasy novella. I’ll be honest, I don’t read a lot of fantasy, but this story captured my attention and held it. I finished it in less than 24 hours.

Drowning Sandy is a curious and delightful tale of a half mermaid/half human young lady who is faced with a realization she didn’t want. Her two worlds are deeply divided and there are some that want to restrict her access to one world or the other. After showing up where she was wasn’t supposed to be, she is forced to make a choice between the future plans she had for herself, or an upheaval full of more uncertainty than anything.

Her heart can’t help but complicate things as fresh feelings crop up for an old friend…an old friend that is already in love with her twin sister. Join Sandy on her journey to self discovery as she faces some big choices in her young life.

I look forward to Sarah’s next book and definitely recommend this book to readers looking for an enjoyable read that will take them into a new world.

Overall, I give Drowning Sandy 5 Lucky Shoes!

(I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The above review is my own review, written after reading Drowning Sandy for myself.)
